Stopped in for a quick lunch on our roadtrip from Texas. The restaurant was very clean. Bathrooms were super clean i was impressed. Our servers Ashley was SUPER AMAZING AND HELPFUL!! Nothing like finding good service with a side of “Southern Hospitality” food was AMAZING. Need tacos were out of this world!! Thank you for the great lunch and amazing hospitality!

Came in for a late lunch and ordered Tacos Al Carbon. They did not come out like those tacos typically do but they were hot and fresh and tasted good. I was surprised the Charro Beans had slices of hot dogs with them but they were okay. The building was under construction, but it was well cleaned and I wasn’t concerned about the construction.
If you love Mexican food like we do then this is the place. There are a lot out there claiming to be authentic but Maria's is the real real. Girlfriend had there ceviche that was so amazing and loaded with flavor. I had their beef enchiladas smother in queso sauce that was totally awesome. Do yourselves a huge favor and get over their a.s.a.p., You'll really be glad you did.
My husband and I make Maria’s a weekly date lunch. The staff are attentive and friendly. Being regulars, we are greeted and provided our beverages and salsa of choice. The food is consistently delicious and plated nicely. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. The restaurant itself feels and looks clean and roomy. The furnishings are comfortable and pleasant.
Seating was readily available. The waitress was patient and attentive throughout the meal. The salsas were fresh and delicious. I found the mild and hot combined for and excellent flavor and spice level. I found the hot salsa to be more of a low medium in heat and stood on its own. The chili meat enchilada sauce was wonderful with a nice smokey flavor. The refried beans had a smooth consistency and the rice complimented the rest of the meal. This was my first visit to Maria's but I will be back.
This place was delightful! It was the type of Mexican food I call comfort food. The salsa actually has a kick to it. The meat is more quality cuts than other places I've been. There wasn't anything I've tried yet that I haven't wanted to have more of. The staff is friendly and helpful. I think I've found my favorite Mexican spot in Joplin.
